The wedding cake can be made with your choice of traditional fruit cake, vanilla sponge cake, lemon, lime or orange drizzle sponge cake, ginger sponge cake, dark or white chocolate sponge cake, dark chocolate truffle cake or carrot cake. Other dietary requirements can be accommodated, such as cakes made to wheat, nut or gluten free recipes, or with organic ingredients. Each tier can be made of different flavours. If fruit cake is required as part of the wedding cake, it will have to be the bottom tier due to its weight, unless it is displayed on a tiered cake stand. Alternatively a small fruit ‘cutting’ cake can be made for serving to guests in addition to the flavours of the wedding cake.

Cakes are iced with either a soft sugarpaste icing or a crisp royal icing. Chocolate cakes can be iced, or decorated with chocolate ganache, chocolate paste, chocolate curls or panels.

The wedding cake may be decorated with hand crafted sugar flowers and foliage to complement the flowers and colours at the reception venue. Crystals, pearls, diamante and ribbons may be incorporated to echo the wedding details. Sugar figurines and models add a personal touch to the cake design. Fresh flowers are often used to decorated the wedding cake. I recommend that these are supplied by your florist to ensure a perfect match with bridal flowers.

I offer the service of icing and decoration of fruit cakes supplied by clients. Sugar flowers or models can be made to order for the finishing touch to home decorated cakes.

All the wedding cakes show on the website are original designs and can be altered to reflect the themes of the celebration day. Designs may be re-sized to suit each client’s requirements. As a rough guide a three tier round cake will serve about 120 one inch slices of cake. A three tier square cake will serve about 170 one inch slices of cake.

As bespoke wedding cakes are designed and created uniquely for each client, the cakes on my website are a small selection from my portfolio. The prices shown in the gallery are intended as a guide only.

Clients are invited to arrange a consultation to discuss their requirements, sample cake flavours and view my portfolio. Following this a customised quote will be supplied for approval. To secure the booking of my services for the wedding date a deposit fee of 50% of the cake order cost is required, with the balance payable in advance of the wedding date.

A minimum of 6 weeks notice is normally required for wedding cake orders. The months from May to September are very popular for weddings: clients are advised that a minimum of 3-6 months notice may be required for these dates.

I have supplied cakes for clients to numerous venues in Surrey, Hampshire, West Sussex and London. Local venues include Ramster, Lythe Hill Hotel, Loseley Park, Buriton Manor Barn, Bury Court Barn, the Tithe Barn at Ditcham, Cain Manor, Goodwood House, the Goodwood Park Hotel, Clandon Park, Horsley Towers and Great Fosters.

Delivery and setup of the wedding cake is available, by prior arrangement and subject to availability, to venues within a 50 mile radius of Haslemere, Surrey. This service will incur additional costs unless the venue is within a 10 mile radius of Haslemere.
